Vetrica Vets – Veterinary Surgeon

Hours: Part time or Full time, no OOH, 1:4 Saturdays on a rota basis 9am-2pm. Typical shifts include 8am-4pm, 8am-5pm, 9am-7pm (1 per week) or 9am-5pm
About us: An independent practice with 2 Fife based practices

Duties
• Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health and diagnose medical conditions.
• Perform surgical procedures, including routine operations and emergency surgeries, ensuring the safety and well-being of the animal.
• Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans tailored to individual animals’ needs.
• Maintain accurate medical records for all patients, documenting treatments, surgeries, and progress notes.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their animals’ health, treatment options, and post-operative care.
• Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure efficient clinic operations.
• Stay current with advancements in veterinary medicine through continuous professional development.

Skills
• Strong knowledge of veterinary medicine and surgical techniques.
• Proficiency in laboratory procedures related to diagnostics and treatment.
