Veterinary Surgeon, Bideford, Northam

We are a friendly close knit team and have just expanded to 5 vets after moving into our new premises.  The practice sits in a 3 acre site and has its own agility area, training paddock and field. We are between Dartmoor and Exmoor National Parks, and a mile from the beach.

We are offering the suitable candidate varied caseloads; small animal, some reptile work, referral ophthalmology cases are seen at the practice and we have a medicine certificate holder.

We work to a high standard with excellent support from our VN team. We have all the usual kit and toys and are happy to support interests and further study.  We place a high priority on case continuity and vets getting to know their clients.

• One in 5 rota and on call is generally quiet.
• Half day off each week, plus extra half day Friday one in 5 to give a long weekend, plus Monday afternoon off after weekend on call.
• One day a week 5pm finish.

The work – life balance is good (and I think better than working till 7pm and not doing on call!).    Plus you can fit in a surf / beach walk etc in the lunch hour.  24hr staffing at practice by nurses.   This practice is just a really happy place to work.  It is privately owned so support and management in the practice all the time.  Ideally suited for someone looking to settle as North Devon is a fantastic place to live.
