We require a Small Animal Vet with experience to join our modern hospital in rural Essex, within easy reach of London and the M25.
The position is primarily based at our Blackmore Hospital, boasting current diagnostic, hospitalisation and surgical facilities, but will also be based at our modern branch surgeries located in Billericay and Writtle.
We are looking for a capable general practitioner who wants the opportunity to use or develop their own area of expertise. Applicants should be competent and confident in basic surgery and medicine, and excel in communication. An ability to nurture our interns would be a bonus.
Applicants should also be motivated and a passionate team player. A personable and friendly attitude, and strong client focus a must. There is the opportunity to acquire further qualifications. Candidates with specialist skills or certificates will be considered.
The practice has been independently owned since 1980. Our clinicians are encouraged to take charge of their cases, but the skilled team make internal referrals ideal for more challenging patients.
Up to date equipment including, ASIF, ultrasound, DR radiography, endoscopy, hydrotherapy, and in-house laboratory within a recently built hospital help to ensure job satisfaction.
We have a skilled team of enthusiastic nurses, receptionists, and office support staff. Mental and physical well-being of the team are paramount, and to that effect the routine consists of a 4 day working week with some out of hours. We are proud to provide an on-call service for our clients, and we have a long-serving clinical team that find this service rewarding and not too onerous.
31.5 days holiday, increasing for long serving team members. Saturday morning consulting (2 in 8), and participation in a Small Animal emergency rota (1 in 8 weekends, and 1 weeknight every 2 weeks is required).
Salary range 40K-55K depending on experience. Out of hours bonus, sufficient time away from the practice and generous CPD scheme.Vetsure Clinic Link
