We are looking for a positive and enthusiastic colleague to join our happy team – could that be you?

The successful candidate will be committed to the success of our team and our business. Assisting us (the Directors) with the day-to-day running and management of the practice, making customer service our priority.

Veterinary experience is not essential, however you will need proven ability in managing teams and driving growth. You will be experienced in dealing with all aspects of Human Resources, and skilled in applying existing HR policies in a fair and consistent manner. You will also be responsible for creating and implementing a marketing plan.
Longer term operational management, as well as developing and delivering longer term strategic goals, are an important part of this role.

We are an Independent veterinary practice with 6 veterinary surgeons working in a new purpose built building in Redruth with branch surgery in Camborne. Our values are:

What will you do?
Take full responsibility for the day-to-day operations of our facilities
Effectively delegate workload and motivate colleagues
Ensure that all aspects of HR are dealt with in a fair and consistent manner
Solve problems swiftly to ensure our team can focus on their tasks
Recruit, induct and develop our team
Assist with our Health and Safety Policies and their implementation.
Deal with customer complaints and queries
Develop practice protocols
Improve communication within the team
Improve communication with our clients – developing a stable bond between us and clients
Develop marketing strategies to attract new clients
Continue to develop our brand in keeping with our family run business

What will you need?
Experience of leading and developing a team in a fast-paced and fluid environment
A customer-focused manner
The ability to develop our marketing strategies
Excellent communication skills including skills in dealing customers
The willingness to flexibly meet daily challenges with empowerment of your team, delegation and problem-solving skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher and PowerPoint)
Strong organisational skills
You’ll always be ready to adapt to change, learn new things and get our team excited to execute them

What do we offer?
Salary – package commensurate with experience. Starting salary £30,000. Full-time position based in the practice
