We are seeking an ambitious graduate for our 12-month equine internship programme, starting June / July 2022.
Cotts is a Tier 3 Equine Hospital in South West Wales, the only one of its type in Wales. Situated on the edge of a coastal National Park and area of outstanding natural beauty, the practice provides ambulatory services to the whole of South- and West- Wales. It also provides a referral service for emergency surgery and intensive care, and all elective internal medicine, orthopaedic and surgical cases. Cotts provides veterinary cover for nearby Ffos Las racecourse.
We pride ourselves on being a friendly and close team. The practice currently employs 16 full time veterinary surgeons including 2 board- certified specialists, one in surgery and one in internal medicine. Interns live on site and work a 1 in 2 out-of-hours rota, earning a salary on par with any first vet job. We provide regular in-house training seminars and fund 5 days of external CPD. The aim is that after 12 months our interns are equipped with the skills and experience required to work competently in first line equine practice, or pursue further specialist training.
Further details about the practice, staff and facilities can to be found on our website, www.cottsequine.co.uk.
